CNC Operator

Location: Winnipeg, MB, Canada
Type: Full Time
Min. Experience: Mid Level

Custom Castings is looking for an experienced CNC Operator who is responsible and dependable to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Must have experience in operating a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill.
  • Experience in setting up a CNC Lathe and CNC Mill is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments.
  • Strong sense of teamwork within groups and across organization.
  • Must be flexible with working overtime.
  • Previous exposure to a lean environment is an asset.

Manufacturing - Production Worker

Location: Winnipeg, MB, Canada
Type: Full Time
Min. Experience: Mid Level

Custom Castings is looking for Production Workers who are responsible and dependable to join our various production cells.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Cutting, sanding and grinding castings
  • In a team environment manufacture castings to support our production
  • Work as a team with other Finishers and Cell Leaders to complete work tasks and meet delivery commitments
  • Experience with 5S and Continuous Improvement an asset
  • On job training provided

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • The ability to follow procedures and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Physically capable to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to communicate in English (verbal & written)
  • Strong sense of teamwork within groups and across organization.
  • Must be flexible with working overtime.
  • Previous exposure to a lean environment is an asset.

Custom Castings is looking for Production Workers who are responsible and dependable to join our Weekend Dayshift (Fri, Sat, Sun 7am-7pm)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Cutting, sanding and grinding castings
  • In a team environment manufacture castings to support our production
  • Work as a team with other Finishers and Cell Leaders to complete work tasks and meet delivery commitments
  • Experience with 5S and Continuous Improvement an asset

Quality Assurance Coordinator

Location: Winnipeg, MB, Canada
Type: Full Time
Min. Experience: Experienced

The successful candidate will work with personnel to maintain an acceptable level of quality of product shipped to Custom Castings’ customers and received from suppliers. This is accomplished by maintaining a structured yet flexible quality system as a tool used to meet or exceed customer requirements on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing (density index, tensile test, hardness test, spectrometry) and prepare required certification of results.
  • Perform required FAI/PPAP inspection activities and prepare required documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain all gauging, testing, and inspection procedures and equipment.
  • Conduct and report on internal and external quality management system audits.
  • Maintain control of all QMS required documentation
  • Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control support to operations personnel as required.
  • As necessary address quality of supplier’s products or services.
  • Facilitate implementation of corrective actions and follow up activities as required.
  • Facilitate meetings with internal and external customers and suppliers as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Post Secondary education in a mechanical engineering related discipline.
  • Hands-on / team-based problem solving skills.
  • Have proven background in drawing interpretation, manual and CMM based inspection methods
